Pet Sun are one of the most exciting bands to come out of Hamilton in the last five years. They have created their own world were fuzzy riffs, classic rock notes, and garage rock sensibilities melt into one another and form something special. From their first show to present day, Pet Sun have been a solid band and definitely one to look out for.

Q –  We are really excited to have you play Supercrawl this year. What is the first thing that pops into your mind when you hear the word “HAMILTON”?
Party time with the boys, movie nights with the fam, and walks with our dogs.

Q – Who are you looking forward to seeing at Supercrawl? (bands, artists, etc)
SR: We’re hoping to set the world record for oldest crowd surf. My grandmother who is 85 has volunteered.
SST – Also stoked to see Monster Truck and Viet Cong. And I hear there is an awesome knitting pop up shop. Might get some socks!

Q –  Supercrawl is an arts festival and besides the awesome music, the festival has all sorts of visual artists showing their work. Do you dabble in any other arts besides music?
We print and tie dye our own t shirts so technically you could say we create clothing…

Q – How would you compare playing a regular show to playing at a festival?
Festivals have holograms of Tupac. No ordinary venue can offer that.

Q –  If you could put on your music festival what would be on your ‘must have’ list? (Alternately: If you have been involved in putting together your own festival – what did you have that you were proud of?)
Stacked bill including the Sabbath Nirvana Hybrid Experience, and headlining would be the creepy guy who plays guitar in Mad Max, while chained to one of those death vehicles. The festival would be free and would offer complimentary drinks.

Q –  If you could do a band/musician swap with another band/musician for a day and get to play their music at a live show – who would that be?
Probably the Libertines. Any Libertines show would be insane. I’d love to be Carl Barat for a day.

Q –  In your opinion – what was the  ‘summer jam’ of 2015?
Pretty Pimpin by Kurt Vile and also Wastybois by the Wytches.

Q –  What’s the best thing you did all summer?
We bumped into Mick Jones in London. That was insane. Then we partied in Paris for 10 days.

Q –  Where do you draw your musical inspiration from?
Nature and gardening and evil gothic shit.

Q –  What is the last thing that crosses your mind before you get on stage?
Where is Parth? Wait, where is everyone? Where is my beer? Noooooooo!

Q –  What are you listening to lately? Can you recommend a track for us to check out?
Currently listening to The Smashing Pumpkins. And yes, please check out Red Lines “Rough Sex”.

Q –  What do you have planned for the fall / winter, musically speaking?
We’ve got a 7” coming out soon as well as our first full length in early 2016. Lots of Canadian dates including a spooky Halloween TV performance….

Thanks gents!
