Supercrawl was last weekend, and we’ve finally gotten around to compiling all of the photos. Joy, Matt, and myself (Biljana) all took photos through the weekend and we managed to capture a pretty good representation of the fun that happened.

I’d like to extend a very special ‘thanks’ to the Supercrawl organizers for giving us press passes, that’s the first time we had passes at a festival and it made a world of a difference.

BA

BA Johnston put on a wild show on Friday night at This Ain’t Hollywood. From tangling people up in his mic chord, to spitting beer, to telling hilarious jokes – it was a crazy good time. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. It was cool to hear a room full of people sing “I have a deep fryer in my bedroom”.

In my opinion, Fucked Up were the best musical act at Supercrawl this year. Before the set, the band paid major respect to Hamilton as the birth place of Punk music. It was very cool, and what followed that was the craziest show I’ve ever experienced. A+

fucked3The dudes really came out in full force for this show. Everyone knew the
words to every song. It was really neat to watch the love the band was getting from the crowd.

Hachy the MouthPEACE and the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra put on a very memorable show on Saturday afternoon. The combination of the two musical forces was incredible. We really hope this happens again… and again.

We waited a half an hour not to see Eight and a Half (they bailed). Sorry dude, I don’t care what CBC show you’re on, I’m not applauding you.

The X-Ambassadors put on a great show. They had the girls swooning and singing along. It was interesting to see how quickly the lead singer was mauled by ladies after the set. I’m sure the hip gyrating dance moves had something to do with that.

Yo La Tengo are incredible musicians, there is no doubt about that. The streets were lined with people who waited patiently to see them. Although, real talk, we were a bit bored by the performance.
