Hamilton based band Redanda has been on our radar for a few years now and we are very happy to help premiere their latest EP “Mood For Thought”.  Cor, Chris, Curt, and Con have worked hard on  ‘Mood for Thought’ and have recorded on a 1/2” 8-track (although only 7 work) reel to reel, with Wolfshirt Records’ Evan Sidawi, in Toronto, Ontario and Hamilton, Ontario. The Toronto portion was recorded in the spring of 2015, and the Hamilton portion in mid-summer. This EP is a great showcase of Redanda’s garage rock style. The songs vary from gritty and fast paced to slow and etherial.

‘Mood for Thought’ deals with the relationship between ones mood and ones thoughts.  Our favorite track is the first one, “Whatever You Get Up To, Just Enjoy”. Check out what the band has to say about each track and hit play on the player below and enjoy some sweet rock’n’roll sounds.

Whatever You Get Up To, Just Enjoy: If you are going to act like a whiny ass, then expect your surroundings to reflect you

Leftovers: Leftover love is like leftover food; you’re stuck with it, but it’s not quite the same as it was when it was new

Booze Cruise: There’s a difference between being drunk and having a drink, and sometimes a drink can clear your mind

Decanter: When you sit back and watch things pass by

This EP premieres today (Oct 20th) and you can purchase it on Bandcamp. You can learn more about Redanda in this interview they did with Cut From Steel a little while ago.
