Burlington’s Big Lonely released their EP, “Close Your Eyes, Keep Talking”, at the end of 2014. The EP is great and it has sat at the top of the reviews pile over the holidays.
Big Lonely sound like they listened to all of the right rock growing up. It is easy to hear melodic influences, and some poetry in their song writing, as well as sexy guitar that reminds me of Queens of the Stone Age. This album is worth downloading and listening to. I am also curious to see what their live show is like and will keep you posted on any shows they have coming up in Hamilton.
My favourite track is: Cactus.
Big Lonely is a picnic basket of smoldering emotion, waiting to erupt. When the band members aren’t busy being best friends, they spend time pairing dark themes of heartbreak and confused morale with aggressive indie rock.
